Every Motor Mile dealer complies with stringent guidelines laid down by Perth & Kinross Council.

This charter gives you important guarantees and protection if you purchase a vehicle from a Motor Mile dealer but does not affect your rights under any warranty or statutory legislation. Customers can refer any unresolved complaint to the council.

As dealers licensed by Perth & Kinross Council we undertake to:

• Inspect all vehicles prior to display for sale
• Display information sheets on all vehicles
• Give an accurate description of the condition of the vehicle and its parts
• Ensure a vehicle is in a roadworthy condition when sold
• We will supply customers with the vehicle inspection report and provide a copy
• Offer repairs or compensation if information given is incorrect
• Consider and deal promptly with any complaint to your satisfaction
• Offer you a fair deal
• First registration check
• Outstanding finance check
• Plate transfer history
• Mileage history check
• Condition report
• Provenance check
• Confirmation that the vehicle has not been written off by an insurer or suffered major damage or theft.
• Confirmation that the registration number matches the VIN and that the VIN on the car matches the VIN on the registration document.
